Prime Minister's Award
Professor Edward Chlebus, Ph.D. Jacek Reiner and M.Sc. Mariusz Mrzygłód with their team under the charge of professor Adam Mazurkiewicz from Institute of Operating Technology – National Research Institute, were conferred 2nd award for the project of "The automatic optical inspection system for multi-parameter quality control of industrial products".
Optolas – Conclusion
The aim of the project was to create a professional technological background, allowing offering manufacturing enterprises innovative services on designing and manufacturing of market products and advanced technical research. The implemented investment contributed to attaining a considerable improvement of CAMT's research competences, which operates as the Fraunhofer Project Centre (FPC) by virtue of the contract signed on 24th September 2009 between Wroclaw University of Technology and Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.
Within the framework of the project, the most modern research and technological machines available on the market were bought, including:
- The first Metrological Tomograph in Poland,
- TRUMPF laser system – the only one that sophisticated equipment in Poland,
- Scatterometer – the first and only one in Poland,
- Innovative stand for robotic laser surfacing using metal powders,
- And many other innovative technological and research solutions (electron microscope, confocal microscope, interferometer, 5-axis CNC machine, ultra-sensitive, high-speed and thermographic cameras, equipment for material testing and specimen preparation etc.).
