Laboratory of material tests is the youngest part of CAMT centre..
Scope of activity:
Projects carried out in the field of inspection and material and mechanical control apply to identification of relevant factors which have an influence on technological processes. Modern laser devices for functional surfaces and spatial structures manufacturing need constant improvement and defining the effect of a process on processed material.
Our laboratory is equipped with:
- Confocal Microscope OLS4000, laser microscope enabling 3D imaging,
- Scanning Electron Microscope ZEISS, enabling magnification to up to 106 times, additionally the EDS system allows obtaining information about chemical composition of examined area,
- Taylor Hobson Interferometer,, used to create 3D profiles,
- Wilson Wolpert 432SVD Hardness Tester,
- Zwick Roel Micro-hardness Tester,
- Complex specimen preparation equipment, including grinding and polishing machines, cutting-off machines etc.,
- Phantom v710 high-speed camera ,enabling recording with speed up to 1,4 million fps,
- INSTRON static and dynamic testing machine , with maximum test load of 150 kN.
We offer:
- Macro and microstructural examination by light microscopy, electron and confocal,
- Determining the mechanical properties of metals, composites, plastics, etc. (linear and surface distribution of micro-and macro-hardness measurements of thin films, the static tensile test, fatigue tests)
- Analysis of crack propagation using high-speed camera,
- Chemical composition analysis using electron microscopy & EDX,
- Measurements of surface topography of 2D and 3D (waviness, roughness, the actual calculation of the area),
- Analysis of powdered materials (distribution of particle diameters, the measurement of particle mixtures of powders, identifying shapes),
- We develop and analyze material, technological and Inspection and Measurement.
